# CommBox IPs

## Overview

All outbound IP addresses used by our systems are managed under the domain: [ips.commbox.io](http://ips.commbox.io) CommBox maintains this domain and ensures that all our relevant IP addresses are correctly configured. For security and verification purposes, each IP address also has a corresponding **PTR (reverse DNS) record**. This ensures a double verification mechanism for our IPs.

## IP Addresses

The following are the IP addresses used by CommBox:

- 34.253.247.49
- 54.72.111.9
- 54.73.245.187
- 46.137.14.237
- 52.19.95.133

## Best Practice

- When whitelisting the CommBox IP, use the CommBox domain instead of the IP Eg. from [ips.commbox.io](http://ips.commbox.io) **port 8443 allow to datapower.contoso.com**
- When possible, enable PTR verification on the addresses under ips.commbox.io
