Overview
Single Sign-On (SSO) allows users to use one set of credentials to log in to multiple websites and applications, simplifying credential management, providing secure access, and streamlining the IT process.
While the default access venue to CommBox is via username and password, our platform also supports Single Sign-On (SSO) and Ticket authentication. In this guide, we go over different configuration options involving the SSO feature.
To set up the SSO, navigate to Settings > SSO and expand the SAML Authentication section.
Auto Create Agent - When toggled On, a CommBox user will be automatically created when the SSO user is not recognized.
Auto Create Agent Permission Profiles - Sets up the default profiles which will be assigned to that new user.
SSO Logout URL - Enter the URL the user will be directed to after logging out of CommBox.
Block Username and Password login when SSO is enabled
Block Ticket Authentication Login when SSO is enabled
To improve overall security and to clearly define the chosen choice of authentication, block other authentication mechanisms while SSO is enabled. This can prevent unauthorized personnel from gaining access using the agents’ credentials while the agent is logged in via the SSO.
